We built I Will Find You because we were tired of the same five seconds deciding everything — a photo, a swipe, a maybe. So we started with a message instead. No profile picture to judge, no gallery to scroll past. Just what someone actually has to say, sent out like a message in a bottle, waiting for the right person to find it.
This blog is where we'll write about the stuff that doesn't fit on the app itself: how to write a message people actually want to answer, why we think dating without photos first is worth trying, what we're building next, and honestly — what we get wrong along the way.
What we'll actually write about
A few things you can expect here, roughly in order of how often we'll come back to them:
How to write a good first message. Turns out this is a real skill, and most people were never taught it because swipe apps never asked for it. We'll share what's working.
Why no photos, really. Not as a gimmick — because judging someone on a photo first changes what you notice about them second. We'll dig into that.
What's coming next. Dating Gifts, new features, changes based on what you tell us. Building in public, not behind a changelog nobody reads.
Tell us what you want to read
This is genuinely the first post. If there's something you want us to write about — a question about how the app works, a dating topic you think we should take on, anything — tell us. This blog works better as a conversation than a newsletter.
